so I had a little difficulty, for those that don’t know technology and it’s mysterious ways frequently befuddles me, and I had promised pictures of my quails…well my daughter wonderful person she is duly took them and sent them to me and I can’t figure out why I can’t get them to upload to here so first let me say thank you for visiting me it’s good to see you and instead of today’s pictures I will show you one of my baby pics, I’m like that mother in law that suddenly brings out all the photo albums 🙂
ok let me explain all my quails I have hatched myself,well in an incubator, and that was a steep learning curve I can tell you, in here there is a tiny little chap who was literally the only survivor from a batch that was my last effort (a post for another time) I had to help him out the shell ( i was so nervous) and he is named ferbie which is short for First Born True Survivor, he was literally pampered and I didn’t sleep for days making sure he was ok, he was right next to my bed so I could see to him straight away, and in order to see him in this picture you have to look behind the thermometer, (it’s the round thing) the brown tiny blurry blob is my two inch high ferbie and I adored him, I still do, he is pampered teenage quail now and is savage. No I mean it he attacks everything! specially me, and being a soft mum I smile and pet him and feed him, while he savages me, it’s a special relationship… because he was a lone survivor I then had to get another batch of eggs and by this time had sorted out the problem (another post for another time) I now have a gorgeous, albeit rather small, flock of quails and I adore each one, seriously watch a quail have a sand bath, it’s just so cute! ferbie literally turns himself upside down in the sand I will have to get my daughter to video it for you. So I hope you can see tiny ferbie as he was I admit it’s not the best picture, and please may I ask you to look at this bodycon dress mosaicles;
